Which South African wines would you like to see in USA?

Posted by CyberCellar wine, Apr 20, 2010.

Hi all,

Some of you might know we are weeks from launching in the USA. We are graudally getting some of our best South African wines into the USA but we need a little more help. If you have a moment please let us know which South African wines are some of your favourites and which wines you'd like us to list on our USA site :)

Thanks for your help.

How about CONSTANTIA and the wines of FINLAYSON?

I know Hannibal and Galpin Peak are quite pricy.

Which Walker Bay ones are you possibly able to bring?

I shop all over though I am in Florida and

Washington D.C.

Not sure I know enough great wines from South Africa to know what I do want. I'd be excited to learn more though.

I do know that I really enjoyed the Lindhorst wines I tried though.

Hi Amour, Mark

Thank you for your suggestions! At the moment we have Arabella and Ataraxia from Walker Bay and hoping to get Finlayson too. Because Walker Bay is on the Cape coast new wineries in this region are producing some fabulous white wines :) The Constantia wineries are getting involved as we speak.

We hope to have at least 25 great South African wines on our USA site portfolio by mid year, just gradually getting them in.

Mark, we do stock Lindhorst wines...we'll see if we can get them on the USA portfolio too... great Pinotage, their best-known for their reds :)

Hi Jenny

Thank for for your suggestion!  SWARTLAND, KWV and SPIER wine are amongst our favourites from our beloved country!

Hi Jenny,

I'd love to be able to get my hands on the reserve wines (reds) of Groote Post.

I'm crazy about Meerlust Rubicon.

Kanonkop pinotage, too.

Thanks Melani, Cagey and Greg,

Apologies for not writing sooner. Thank you for all your recommendations and thoughts, I see I'm speaking to some wine experts here as these are all fantastic wines especially Kanonkop Pino, Sadie Family and Swartland. We wil definitely try and get some if not all of those wines in :) greg, thanks for making noise about SAfrican wine :)

Appreciate you taking the time.

Personally, I would just like to see a lot more S. African wine on the market in the States.  I have been very pleaed and impressed with the vast majority (admittedly small amount) of the wine I've had from S. Africa - especially when you consider the price point.

I look forward to seeing what you in S. Africa would recommend, and exploring them with you.  Keep up the good work.
