What's a Snooth anyway

Posted by Philip James, Aug 16, 2007.

We're on a quest to find the ultimate definition of Snooth to reverse engineer the name into. We've received lots of suggestions and the current contenders for the best are from loyal user 'gr', with his definitions . Another choice with a fighting chance is that the name comes from the Dutch word 'Schnoozel' - ok, I don't speak Dutch, can someone tell me how to spell it, and then confirm that it means to 'gather information'?

If you have some suggestions comment below, email us, or join the unofficial Facebook group and say something there.

If we come up with something good enough, we can lobby the dictionary to add it to their next release.

Sending this to much Dutch-speaking cousin (to whom I don't believe I've mentioned Snooth yet)...

Wow.

I would have said "a small furry animal that sniffs and swirls its food and drink before either swallowing it or spitting it out unceremoniously" - but it looks like gr got pretty close - I do like the verb forms!
