This is Josef Letiz's entry-level riesling. Though I haven't had it personally, I'm told that it's like a spatlese even though a Qba. Supposedly it is recognizably sweet, but not to the extent of an auslese or beerenauslese, and certainly isn't close to a dessert wine. I'm also told that it has a mineral palate that balances the sweetness and fruitiness and makes it quite refreshing, both with food and on its own. Of the two people I asked about this, one described it as the perfect wine for lunch...

This is usually a solid, entry level Riesling. 2004 is a lovely vintage, ripe but lighter styled with precise flavors. I recall enjoying this wine on release and expect that it's even better today!
