- Weekend Shopping List...What's on Yours?
It's been a month since doing any kind of wine restocking for the home rack. Tonight that all changes. I will be going down to the local World Market, combing the racks for some good buys.
I am looking to come back with a case of assorted wines for combining the need for everyday pours and trying some new things. What's on the list?
Viognier is one we have yet to explore, so the tasting begins there. Some Spanish wines are on the list, so some Tempranillo or Garnacha. Add some California Zins and Cabs, and the mish mash variety case is complete. I will report on the findings as we work through the bottles. What are you buying for your wine rack?

Realizing that stores in different states will have different inventory...our World Markets here in Georgia are currently running a great deal on Parson's Flat Shiraz-Cab from Australia (at the risk of re-energizing the couple of recent Australia threads elsewhere on the forum). Seeing the ad caused me to dig in the cellar and find a bottle from a couple years ago. It was drinking great-lush and full with all the jammy and brambly black fruits that I always like in decent Aussie wines. Didn't look at the alcohol, but suspect it was on the higher side. Nonetheless, it didn't have the hotness that can be a deal killer. So...that's on my weekend shopping list.
