Hello! I am new to Snooth and am really hoping someone can help me out. I live in North Carolina, USA and just finished a fantastic holiday with my English boyfriend and his parents in Washington State. We had the best time and I would really love to send them some wine from that area to thank them for the great time we had together. I have found a few sites that would perhaps ship the wine to their home but would love some guidance. I'm no wine connoisseur but I'm looking for some good red wine grown from the grapes of Washington State, not California, which can be purchased online and shipped to their home in Bath, England. Thanks for any help you can give me!

I've got relatives in Bath. Never sent them any wine tho. Many wines to ship tho. Cadence, Betz, Cayuse, Woodward Canyon, l'Ecole 21, Pepper Bridge, Novelty Hill, Andrake, plenty more!

amour here to the rescue, I hope!
In England, Andrew Will is available.
I have got Champoux Vinryard Cabernet Sauvignon blend
from Horse Heaven Hills.
A bit too dry for me personally, but quite nice generally as a pleasant medium-full-bodied red.
Full of Blackberry flavour!
Would make a nice gift if you could get someone to pick it up at BerryBros&Rudd...one of my favourite merchants.

Thank you so much for your help, Amour! I think I'm going to order from Berry Bros and Rudd. They have great delivery service it seems!

I've found anything born on the Red Mountain in Washington to be fantastic, btw, even though it seems you've already made your choices. Both the Col Solare & the Fidelitas offer tons of bang for the buck. The Col Solare, particularly from strong vintages (2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, etc.) is like a Super Tuscan for half the price and, relatively speaking, a well-kept secret.

Pay some attention to BerryBrothers&Rudd generally...they know their onions..ooops!...WINES.
We used them in London in many ways and never had a problem.
Their dinners are so informative and elegant and their offerings on the whole are very smart and encouraging.

I like Leonetti Cabernet. It's pricy, but drinks more Bordeaux-like than much US Cab.
