"The third edition of VitignoItalia, the wine salon of autochtonous and traditional italian vine, will take place in Naples at the Castel dell’Ovo from 17 till 19 of may 2009: three days devoted to the promotion and to the business of italian wine of high quality. But this three days are also devoted to the high gastronomy accompanied with the exibition of big chefs and of new emergent talents of the south Italy. For the first time one area will be exclusively devoted to the wine of biological and biodinamic grapes, another one will be devoted to the wines of the south Mediterranean."
This is a very interesting wine fair in Naples, Italy which I will be attending and looking forward to tasting unusual and exciting varietals. I will keep you posted on this site and in my wine blog.
Let me know if anyone from Snooth is coming.

- Reply by Gregory Dal Piaz, May 8, 2009.
Sadly no one from Snooth is able to make this event. i was tempted but had to decline my invite as I am already taking off the coming week, ironically to be in the north od Italy at the Alba Wine Exhibition.
VitignoItalia looks like a great event and I will plan onbeing there next year. I love the autochtonous grapes of Italy, having grown up with Teroldego, Groppello, Lagrein and the like!
I look forward to hearing more about it so please do keep us informed as you can Leo.
