Value Wines

Posted by icmusiclovers, May 1, 2009.

I have a stable job and am getting by comfortably enough, but I really can't afford to spend more than 10 bucks on a bottle of wine. To amend that statement, I don't mind it every once and a while for special occasions and whatnot, but not on a regular basis.

I just wanted to see what the fine folks at Snooth turn to for affordable and readily available wines in the under 10 dollar range. I live in upstate NY and enjoy many of the NYS wines and also like fuller Italian offerings. I don't mind whites at all but would prefer reds.

Thanks in advance for your input and advice!

Don't now how available in your area but I love wines from "R WInes" (aka "The Grateful Palate). They do some very nice wines inexpensively. Ones I have found that I really like are:
Evil - Syrah
Permutations - Pinot Noir
Little R - Cabernet Sauvignon

Here is a blog I posted about everyday (value) wines a little while back. You'll see that Ocean and I agree on the R Wines offering.

Although ... my price point was a little higher. :-)
