unsure of wine

Can anyone answer a question about movendo reistling wine. I opened it last saturday and then put lid on but did not refridgerate it. Is it still good

Nope.  Among other things, it's a week old.  And it started out as an inexpensive riesling from Banfi, which never held a lot of promise.

But you can cook with it.  And look at it this way - riesling is still one of the great bargains in the wine world.  You can find a pretty decent bottle for under $15 and even drinkable stuff for under $10, so this is an excuse to try another one!

Hi Karen. I would suggest a Chateau Ste Michelle, Eroica, from Washington's Columbia Valley. It's a 90 point wine priced around $30. If that is too expensive they also have a Harvest Select Riesling for under $10. A excellent Riesling from Alsace, France is from Trimbach. It too is a 90 point wine for around $20. These Rieslings are fruity with pear & apricot, sweet with ballanced acidity and wonderfull aromas. Drink them well chilled. Cheers!

Good choices.  That Eroica is available for $18 in some stores in NYC and it's worth it. The entire line from Columbia Crest or Chateau St Michelle is a good value in whites.

From Germany, Muelenhof if always a bargain, Jean Baptiste from Gunderloch, and a few othgers.

And for dry riesling, don't overlook Australia - it may be one of the best bargains out of there.
