Trapiche Malbec Mendoza 2008

Details for Trapiche Melodias Malbec

Nice, not too complex red for warmer weather. Goes down easy in Florida with grilled chicken.

I wish I was in Florida with grilled chickens!

Always a reliable bottle. I'll be tasting some wines like this in the near future as things warm up across the country and we start looking for our summer grilling wines. Thanks for the inspiration!

One of my favorite wine from Argentina that you can find nearly everywhere. Nice choice for you first review. Welcome to Snooth!

Not my favourite Malbec choice, but a great value for the money. Many Argentinian restaurants here in Mexico City have it on the menu for little more than US$10. So you get a good steak with a bottle of Trapiche Malbec for about $25. That´s a great lunch deal and work feels much better afterwards.

Hi. I've been drinking wine on and off for years, but never venturing out of my comfort zone(merlots, rieslings, and dessert wines). Now I have a desire to learn about all the aspects of wines, and it is complex and fascinating. I went to a wine tasting this weekend, and tried Kaiken Malbec--it certainly has a very unique flavor. From your experience, do people either love or hate this wine?

I don´t think that Argentinian Malbec is a "love it or hate it" wine. It is generally very easy to drink; Argentinian Malbecs are smoother and easier to drink than French Malbecs and I think in general people find it a pleasant wine. I introduced many Cabernet/Merlot drinkers to Malbec and everybody always liked it.
