- Tasting of 94 pt Oriel 'Dylan' Chardonnay (9/16)
Oriel staffers are hosting an impromptu vertical tasting of our 'Dylan' Russian River Valley Chardonnay to celebrate the new release of the 2006 vintage, and our learning of its rave review in Wine & Spirits Magazine. 'Dylan' received a 94 pt rating and 'Best Buy' selection in the October Issue of Wine & Spirits, on newsstands now.

Thanks Greg!
We had some great Murray's Cheese pairings-- Tomme Crayeuse Affinage, Comte Sainte, and homemade hummus. The celebration was certainly merry and the wine comparison was very interesting (having a mixed crowd of wine fanatics/non-wine folk). Here are some tidbits from the guest tasting notes:
'DYLAN' 2004
"peach and lemon on the nose" "mandarin orange" "citrusy" "red delicious apple" "crisp acidity upfront leading to a smooth finish" "mineral finish" "creamy and fruity"
'DYLAN' 2005
"bright lemon" "apple" "citrusy pucker that lingers" "leaner than the 2004" "crisp acidity in the back corners of the mouth" "mineral finish" "lingering"
'DYLAN' 2006
"granny smith apple" "lemon-rosemary" "lemon meringue pie" "orangey-lemon" "tart apple" "crystalline" "smooth texture" "glycerine texture" "mineral finish" "smooth body"
