- Tasting groups
I'm fulfilling one of my 2009 new years resolutions tonight and joining a tasting group. I'm a little nervous as I only know one person in the group and its a WSET training group, but I'm sure it will be a great experience. The wines to be tasted this evening are from the Southern Rhone and Southern France. I need to do a little refreshing on the wines of these regions before tonight.
Has anyone joined a new tasting group recently?

I'm involved in 3 groups and that's more than enough. What with the Snooth PTP tastings and random events I am sometimes tasting wine 5 nights a week. Really doesn't leave enough time for drinking!

I'd like to get involved in one. I've been to a few of the Snooth PTP tastings but that doesn't leave my schedule very full of wine.

It was a great experience. Got to try some stuff I never would have tried on my own as well as a few wines I recently bought but haven't tried yet. Looking forward to the next tasting.
