Hoping someone might have some info on this wine- maybe Outthere??
It is called Sunrise Farms Russian River Chardonnay, and in the fine print, it says "bottled and produced by Taft Street Winery, Sebastopol, CA".
Now, I love, love Taft Street winery, so I bought two bottles of this at a local discounter. It isn't great- and doesn't taste like a chard- more like a Viognier or Chenin Blanc.
I looked it up online and could find no info other than a single CT review.
Sunrise Farms Chardonnay...Taft St. Winery- need info!

Sorry NG, I'm drawing a blank on this one. Nothing wrong with a Chard that doesn't taste like an oak butter churn!

Agreed, OT, on the Chard comment, but this is different... really strange- deep floral, a bit overcooked, with more RS than I am used to with a Chard.. Oh well, some mysteries are not meant to be solved :-)

Hi NG, Jake here from Taft Street. I saw your post and wanted to follow-up on your question about the Sunrise Farms Chardonnay. This was a wine we made for one of our grape growing clients who wanted his own label but did not have an appropriate license.
I pulled the tech notes at time of bottling:
- Russian River Valley Chardonnay
- Alc: 13.9%
- RS: 0.0
- Total Acid: .61g/100ml

Thanks so much for the response!! Just to say, I love Taft St Wines... was just curious about this one. I now totally understand what the circumstances are. What surprises me is the tech notes- RS 0.0??? Wow.
Any hoo, thanks again for responding to my inquiry. I hope to get back up soon, and for anyone reading, you will NOT go wrong with Taft St. wines. In the past, I have loved the syrah, RRV pinot, & sauv blanc.

Thanks for the kind words! I might have a "house palette", but I'm also in love with the Sauv Blanc. It's my go to wine for summer :)
Thanks again, cheers!
