- Sunday Oct 25 Winemaker Dinner
Trying to gauge the interest in a winemaker dinner.
Kumeu River's winemaker Michael Brajkovich and his mother, Melba, will be in New York promoting their Chardonnay and have asked me if I would organize a dinner.
I have not selected a venue yet but the dinner will include Kumeu River Chardonnays and I hope to be able to convince their importer to also provide several white Burgundies to be used as a comparative measure. Maybe a few flights blind will be included.
As I have yet to select a venue the price is up in the air though the wines will be provided by the importer so we will be looking at the usual dinner plus corkage range of $100, plus or minus $20.
So anyone interested and free?

Greg: I am out on Long Island and can't make this Sunday, but would like to attend any future events you schedule.
I just finished your article on the affects of Oak - it was exceptional.
In an article from last year you mentioned your love of BYOB restaurants in NYC. Do you have some favorites you can recommend?

The interest is there, but the money is not. Perhaps the next event!
