Subway Car, or Fish Condo?

States with ocean shores are competing with Delaware for NYC's old subway cars. Is this legitimate eco-farming, or a veiled excuse to dispose of our transports?

"Last month, for example, New Jersey, which stopped taking the cars in 2003 because of environmental concerns, asked the city for 600 of them."

Its not clear then, is it good to have tonnes of rusting metal on the sea floor or not?

There's a place in the pacific called Chuuk, better known as Truk Lagoon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truk_Lagoon

There's basically half a Japanese fllet that got blown up and sunk there in the second world war. You have to be a pretty advanced diver to dive these wrecks as they are deep (over 40m i think), but apparently you can swim inside an aircraft carrier with a fleet on planes in their hangers!

NYC gives these away for free?? I could use one for my living room.

Also I could use a larger living room.

I was thinking that I would renovate one and rent it out to hipsters for $4000/month. They love that expensive irony.

I think you're onto something there. Run with it.
