I just received an email from user linda80 about wanting to get to know me. Now, I have to say, if you are going to SPAM me with offers of a relationship you should do the following:
1. Send me a private and not public message.
2. Don't send the exact same message to 4 other guys before me.
I guess it is a sign of success for Snooth! We've been spammed!

This is funny, but not so funny that it should be allowed to continue. I've blocked linda80's account, but "she" did manage to send 14 messages before the complaints rolled in.
Definitely let us know if this happens to any of you in the future.

Thanks for the info. I have been on vacation and away from internet access. You can imagine my surprise when I got this email, especially when you add that I am married, and female! I was just grateful to find out that it was indeed spam!

And now the 419ers have joined in, as, at least, "roadtowineer". They've figured out the private thing, but they did send me the same message twice. (Mark, I forwarded you a copy of one of the notification emails.) There's not much to do besides report these clowns and to have them banned, right?
Have you considered making use of Kismet or even just passing submissions through to SpamAssassin (that may delay things significantly if it's a blocking step, but it should be possible to scan them asynchronously and then go back to remove them later)?

This user has also been blocked. We've considered the spam blocking solutions and will integrate them soon.

Following on from this - Mark and the crew added the ability for you to delete a message in your inbox, or to report a message as spam. If you go to the message details itself, the buttons are there.
