Jimmy - Yes thats a major issue. All the stores name the wines slightly differently, so sometimes its hard for our algorithms to catch the wines as identical. We have someone working full time on it (Yves, who's just finishing his PhD in natural language search, and who came from working on the search engine at Ask.com), and we've found many duplicates. However, we also rely on our users to help us identify duplicate wines.

I've made you a moderator - now if you see two duplicate wines you can click on the interact button and register one as a duplicate and it will get merged. You should have received an email about it - let me know if that doesnt arrive.
