Simi Cabernet Sauvignon 2005 Magnum
Posted by ref39, Nov 1.

I have a Magnum of Simi Cabernet Sauvigon 2005 and was thinking about using it at a dinner party this coming weekend. I know Magnums tend to take longer to age, can someone let me know if they think it has had enough time to age in order to us it in 6 days?

Simi wines are made to be drinkable young, even in larger format bottles. If you have multiple bottles of the 2005 go ahead and serve it at at your dinner party. Big bottles are always more festive. That being said, if you only have the one bottle, I'd store it away (under proper conditions), and have it five or better yet 10 years from now....
