Sediments in white wines

Posted by cigarman168, Mar 10, 2010.

I bought few bottles of 2004 Vesevo Fiano di Avellino, but found that quiet lots of sediments inside the bottles, is it normal?

What do they look like? Could be tartaric acid crystals - they would look like small glass shards or sugars.

These are not bad, they just meant the bottle got cold at one point.

Some winemakers remove the tartrates to avoid this, but others think that removing them affects the taste.

If they dont look like this, then let me know

Philips :Two bottles has the tartaric acid crystals as you says. And I notice that quiet lots of small dusty particles inside while view through the bottles under the lighting. I check with the guy recommend me to buy it and he said he has taste it and said the bottles is still of good taste.
