Schreiner's Winers- The Wines of Halleck Vineyard

Posted by VegasOenophile, Jun 24, 2012.

In March, my tasting group explored the wines of Halleck Vineyard.  They craft small production, exceptional pinot noir from the best areas in Sonoma.  Located in Sebastopol, it's a small, family-run winery.  We had the opportunity to taste "live" with owner Ross Halleck on Skype.  Many restaurants around the country feature Halleck, but beyond that you can usually only get the wines direct from the winery.

They work toward a true sense of community, providing unique personal tastings by appointment and for their club members, they have regular events, trips and a harvest event where members can help pick grapes from the Halleck Vineyard itself.  Ross and Jennifer strive to connect personally with their members so it's truly a family brought together by wine.  When in Sebastopol, do arrange a visit and tasting.

For this event, we explored the:

2010 Dry Gewurztraminer

2008 Hillside Cuvee

2008 The Farm Vineyard

2008 Hallberg Vineyard
