I'm looking for a recommendation of a red, ($11 or less per bottle), to go with our wedding buffet. The selections on the buffet are as follows:
Roasted Vegetable and Blue Cheese Rolls
Local Vegetable Ross Stuffed with Sesame-Peanut Masala or Cool Weather Local Vegetables with a Cheese Fondue
Trio of Artisan Breads
Lettuce Greens and Texas Pecans with Cranberry Vinaigrette
Mix of Locally Grown Vegetables
Crispy Okra Raita
Roasted Harvest Potatoes
Apple Cider Brined Chicken
Even a recommendation on a varietal would be fine--any input helps, thanks!

Apple cider chicken sounds nice!
A lot of the dishes are quite light: cold foods, vegetables, its quite rustic and farm land style food - breads, potatoes, and so on. I think an earthy pinot noir would pair well.
Here are the 4 that ive tried, in that price range that are good: http://www.snooth.com/my-wines/Phil...
I'd go for the Ramsay if you want something fruitier, and the Lamoreaux Landing if you want something earthier.

This is great Philip thanks a lot!
I figured a Pinot Noir might be the way to go. i've contemplated being daring and going with something heavier like tannnic light shiraz or cab. Maybe i'll just play it safe and stick with the Pinot.
Regarding the chicken, we had it at the tasting and i almost fell out of my chair it was so good! Definitley have it if you get the chance.

I'ld be looking for a light, crisp red like a schiava from Italy
of maybe a Cab franc from the loire valley
or an rasier going style of Rioja would be great too;
You've got quite a few choices so try a few bottles and see what floats your boat!
