There may be some naysayers to my thoughts about this, but I really enjoy Morrell Wine Bar, 1 Rockefeller Center. Especially during summer, as they have a beautiful outdoor cafe that's directly across the street from the rink. Hey there - i was traveling last week, but this is certainly a topic i can help you on:
Midtown = Morrells and Clo (its run by a robot!) in the Time Warner Center, or Xai Xai (South African wines)
Downtown = Enoteca (italian), or many other smaller cozy venues
What sort of thing do you want to try? There's even 2 champagne bars: Bubble Lounge and Flute
