- New Wine Drinker
I only started drinking wine about a month ago. I have never been a drinker of any kind, but having had wine at a few parties and wedding receptions recently, I decided that I like the stuff. I joined Snooth to get some good recommendations on new wines. I seem to like red wine the most. Of what I have tried I like Petite Sirah, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as a few blends that I have had. I am looking forward to reaping the benefits of the collective experiences shared on snooth, as well as sharing my own.

Hi Dylan and welcome to Snooth.
I'm looking forward to hearing about your wine experiences. We have an upcoming GTi on Petite Sirah so in a few weeks we'll have plenty of notes up on that front. It sounds like you enjoy a rich red wine. Spain has many options in styles that mirror those of the New World yet a prices that make experimenting easy. Try a search for Spanish Grenache or even better Mourvedre for example.

So I might like Spanish wine eh? That would be a nice coincidence because my wife is a Spanish Flamenco dancer, and I am the percussionist in our Flamenco group. Thanks for the suggestions, I will try to pick up a bottle of Grenache or Mourvèdre soon!
