I want to introduce myself to the Community. I just recently signed up and have been very impressed with the site. It is great to be among people with similar interests who are interested and knowledgeable about wine. I think the site will not only enhance my knowledge but help me focus my wine selections. I look forward to getting to know some of you.

Hey Bob,

Welcome to Snooth.

It's a great place to come to chat about wine and share some of your opinions.

So what kind of wines have got you talking?

I recently placed an order with Chambers Street Wines out of New York. Most of what I bought was pretty cheap stuff (a bordeaux or two and an interesting wine of the picpoul variety), but I hope I have a winner or two in the batch. I have also been looking for a good Voignier. I see you have recently reviewed several. My wife and I kind of fell in love with a Voignier from British Columbia (La Frenz Winery). I wonder whether it was even a good specimen of a Voignier. I may try some that you have reviewed.

A couple of weeks ago, we had dinner with a couple of friends of ours and consumed a Bordeaux from the Hait-Medoc area. It was before I joined Snooth, so I do not remember the label. It seems some of my most memorable friendships have been formed over a glass of Bordeaux.

Well, enough for now. Thanks for your interest.

Bob,

Chambers is one of the best stores in the country. I am friends with many who work there but I am also a customer, I placed I small order not an hour ago! Those quirky wines that deliver great drinking and great value are why they are such a great resource. I hope you find wines you enjoy in your selection.

If you ever find yourself headed to New York City be sure to let us know. I can get a few glasses of Bordeaux ready!

Hello,

One suggestion -- if you've not tried a Bordeaux from the Graves AOC, they're worth looking out for. There are a few classified growths in that area (mostly I think in another AOC within the same region, Pessac-Léognan AOC), but there are some which aren't as awe-inspiringly expensive and these can be pretty good too.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will be on the lookout for those as well.
