Interesting Article on CHampagne Grape pricing

As an aside we seem to be almost totally devoid of female commentary

WHen last active on the forum some years ago we had many female contributors who brought some very interesting debate

Why have they gone?

Good question, Stephen. We've also lost a lot of ITB contributors, as well as food and service professionals who used to be active here, both male and female, both in the US and in other countries (Europe, the Antipodes).

Wonder what Snooth mgmnt would have to say if asked that question?

I wonder if Snooth Management actually exist!

I've been on a couple of these sites that have gone through the same cycle.  It is really important for management to keep things updated and inclusive.  Most die when the last update about a subject they might be interested is 4 yrs old or more.

I realize it's free.  But a vital, active forum site is good for business.  This where things start to decline - the business model drives the site and slowly management moves towards sustaining the business and slowly step away from the social side.  Evolution.

Most wine boards have very small participation by women. In part it's because most wine hounds tend to be men.

I don't think there's any animus here or anywhere else, and if anything, this has to be one of the friendliest boards for women. Wish they'd show up more often.

Greg I agree with you on that fact its just that we seem to have lost people like Napagirl, and others who were quite active but who we rarely hear from
