My Wife and I are headed to France and Spain in September for a little wine and relaxation. We're having trouble deciding where to go. We're headed to Barcelona for sure but want to do some wine tasting. I would appreciate any feedback/recommendations about Bourdeaux or Burgundy. Also, if there is somewhere else we should be looking, let me know. Thanks and cheers!
Need Help - France & Spain

How much time do you have, and how much of that do you want to spend in France vs. Spain? What kinds of wines do you drink now, and particularly like? Will you be renting a car? Anything else you particularly want to do besides visit wineries/winebars? Etc.
Plenty of great places to visit in France and Spain. Lots of options, even just staying mostly in Spanish and French Catalonia and environs, but of course beyond there as well. If you answer the questions, I, and others, can make some focused suggestions....

I have not visited the wine areas of Spain but have been to several parts of France. It can be interesting to drive through an area and just see the signs at the side of the road'vin pour vente ' and the vital word 'degustation' which means tasting. Many producers are only too happy for you to visit them and will offer tasting to encourage you to buy. Most of them consider themselves to be craftsmen and are proud of their product. Many small towns have a wine shop that only stocks the wines of that district and also offer tasting.
