Thought I would drop a few lines to introduce myself... I have lived in Sonoma County since '91 and have gradually learned to appreciate a good glass (or bottle!) of wine. I enjoy exploring off-the-beaten-path wines and wineries...sometimes spending a weekend day searching them out. Spent last weekend (Mother's Day) up in the Anderson Valley and really enjoyed Vern and his wines at Toulouse, and Dan up at Esterlina (gorgeous views). Great people, good wine!
Some of my recent favorite varietals: Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Malbec, Syrah, Primitivo....
I look forward to exploring and using this site more..now I just need to figure out how it works!

Welcome to Snooth. I've recently become a fan of Tempranillo and Malbec myself, not having had lots of exposure to them before. Would love to hear your recommendations.

Hey dnrme! Great to have you on board!
I work at small winery in Glen Ellen ... and curate the Sonoma Valley and Sonoma County pages here on Snooth.

What winery do you work at?...and I'm sorry what does curating entail? :O)

@Laura ... I work at Loxton Cellars part-time (weekend work). Small little place ... pretty laid back and great wines (I am biased).
As for curating, it means really posting news about the region and trying to help people out when they have questions. I have been a bit lax lately but my full time job has eased up a bit so I can focus more on the wine pages!
Drop by Loxton some time if you get a chance ...

Met Tom Smothers, (yes, the Smothers Brothers!) recently in Chicago. He lives in Kenwood, Sonoma, where my friends and I stayed recently. But we missed Remmick, I am sorry to say. What a down-to-earth and friendly dude.
