Vinitaly  2012 - Like all the years, in past 40 and odd, Italian wine producers are showing their prowess, rightfully deserving, at their annual show.Increasing in numbers every year, this year it witnessed 4,164 exhibitors with 94 international participants within an area of  94,966 sq.m..

The show management handled a gigantic figure of 156,033 visitors of which 50,066 came from other countries. The massive and at a newly placed 1st floor location, press office handled
2,625 journalists of which 328 came crossing borders. With internet and computer facility, luggage store room and a mini cafeteria press members received a warm welcome and respectable hospitality.A gigantic and massive workload indeed....

Multi thousands of bottles were opened, huge number of tasting went on round the hours.Wine dealers, importers, local buyers and consumers made a beeline to well lit and decorated booths. Some like that of Ferrari and Peccini(celebrated their 130 years with round the clock events and hospitalities. They hosted a magical evening dinner party too though for selected guests,at a nearby town restaurant.) had lavishly displayed big booths.Provinces and local area consortiums like those of Sicily,Chianti and Consorzio del Vino Orcia and others interacted and communicated effectively with partners and eaager visitors.

Publication houses of worldwide repute like Wine Enthusiaast,Decanters,Gilbert and Gaillard were at their hall entertaining aaudience all thru the show.

The enthusiasm and interest, involvement aand entrepreneurship were something brilliantly seen all aaround, worthy of a lifetime experience.

Greetings to the organizers,Veronafiere and supporters, sponsors who were also in good number.

So what wines did you like?

The Bolgheri products of Allegrini were all of very high standard. So were the Castello di Volpaia's Chianti Classico and Baron Ricasoli's Brolio,Chianti Classico DOCG.

Nice picture...this would seem to make the event a little cozier than I would've expected.
