Wine Talk

Jet wine. OY.

Posted by ChipDWood, Jan 21, 2011.

I was just "subjected to" a half bottle of "Jets Uncorked" Cabernet Sauvignon, which cost the buyer almost THIRTY, FREAKING, BUCKS to bring along.  The OTHER half we had to pour down the drain.

That should give you a hint.

Here's my review of this, awful excuse to make a wine.

Like trying to drink BLEACH with, like, purplish food coloring added to the thing to try to make you forget.

Forget the awfulness.  The horror.

...the horror.

Jets should stick to Football!

More like unwashed jockstraps and pads, perhaps....

Thanks, GDD, for pointing me to Rex and Michelle Ryan, IHavePrettyFeet and foot-fetish dating sates. Wouldn't've wanted to miss that. Wow, we're deprived in this part of the world!

Champers poured into pumps, anyone?

Was just thinking back to my own lockerroom days in college and after.... ;-(

The posts above remind me of an article I read about those involved in fetish buying "VERY" used shoes on ebay!   Blechhh!!!

Seriously, thanks for posting a heads up.... but I agree with hhotdog.. maybe you should try another bottle b/4 condemning.

BTW-  Just had a glass of a nice Burgundy in a very decent restaurant bar last night.  It was frickin oxidized!!!  Prolly set open for a few days.  It was horrible, and they opened another bottle that was GREAT.  The waiter tried to say the first was a "bad bottle", but I KNOW it was left open too long.

So who knows, with your bottle?

Why try another?  It's a novelty bottling, no one was supposed to drink it unless they were already drunk on beer at the tailgate.

There are PGA tour wines, Larry Bird and other sports legend wines, Marilyn Merlot (actual brand with vintages!), things in cat and fish shaped bottles.  Anybody who ever raced cars seems to have a wine.  And today in the NYT business section, a story about wine grown and made by actor/director Emilio Estevez, brother of Charlie Sheen.  (Keep your brother away from the warehouse, dude.)

But do we need to talk about them, or Jets wine here?  Heck, I'd rather here ChipDWood laud the wines of Virginia (Cavaliers Cava, anyone? Wahoo!) I'd rather see another post by Lefty about Layer Cake Malbec.
