I threw a Pinot Noirs from around the world party at my place last night! There was a whole lot in my glass last night. ;)

I am drinking a decent glass of Malbec blend in Buenos Aires:

It is Traful 2006 by Bodegas Lopez... I assume it isn't one of their exported brands.

I am enjoying a Boarding Pass Shiraz. I know, everyone already knows about this stuff, but it's my first time with it. Pretty drinkable.

I am in Hong Kong now and have some great stories of awful local delicacies and some terrible wines - stay tuned, will do a write up next week...

Haven't heard what the snooth team is drinking today. Later tonight I am off to a grape stomp and dinner at a local winery and will be drinking something from them (Leonesse). Couple weeks ago I went to a concert (the English Beat) at another local winery (Weins). That's one of the things I LOVE, all the events with wine.

How did the grape stomp go? That sounds pretty cool... I almost helped pick some grapes in the Finger Lakes one year, but overslept ;)

This is what we drank yesterday: http://www.snooth.com/wine/malakany... Coconut wine, back from the Philippines. However, the guys didnt take it seriously, and went and opened this to wash their mouths out: http://www.snooth.com/wine/veramont...

After lugging my 'gift' back 12,500 miles, I was sad... The coconut wine was truly disgusting though. Not sure if its still on Marks desk, or he sneakily disposed of it

Gotta say, coconut wine sounds pretty bad! Sometimes we enjoy torturing ourselves though, don't we.

The grape stomp was a lot of fun, you here about them all the time but I had never been to one before. They even rewarded each of us with a bottle of Chardonnay, I thought that was pretty cool. Good food, good music, good wine, and lots of fun people.

The coconut wine was pretty harsh, but pretty exotic so I was happy to have tried. It's definitely still here if you want any more Philip!

@ocean -- sounds pretty fun. I know some germophobes that refuse to drink wine for being grossed out by the idea of some people walking around in the grapes. Ha. No such concerns here!

I think a lot of places just have grape stomps for the fun of it and actually end up dumping the wine.

I think this deserves a "bump" on the list. Whitehall Lane Winery, Cab 2004
Was a little skeptical, but I'm loving it. It's been a while since I've had the time to enjoy a bottle, and this is a delightful treat.

Siggswitz - here's the wine you were talking about: http://www.snooth.com/wine/whitehal...

Funny review - who's pugs are they?
