Just returned from business trip to Israel and was completely wowed by the wine I enjoyed there. Wish I had the time to visit some of the wineries. The climate was similar to CA. I only tried a few (after all I was "working") but all were inexpensive and good. Especially a bottle of chardonnay I brought home for my husband- Binyamina Chardonnay 2007 Special Reserve-around $10.00 over there and would rival a wine 3x that price-deep, rich. buttery, delicious. We each took a sip and said "WOW" at the same time. I am unfamiliar with on-line ordering of wine, but would love to try and find this wine. We are just now allowed to do that here in GA. Have a bottle of red I haven't opened yet but will let ya'll know how it is.

Welcome to Snooth Red,
By searching on Snooth you can find retailers who carry the wine you seek. For example a search for Binyamina had among it's results the following listing with retailers in New York.
I do not know whether or not these retailers ship to Georgia but there were additional listings for these wines. Good luck finding your wine!

I worked from Haifa for a short while back in 2000 - I didn't try that much wine while I was there, but remember that it was a beautiful and fascinating part of the world - I'd go surfing in the morning, work, and then on my weekends visit Jerusalem. Great few weeks there.

The best place to find Israeli wines is in the kosher section of your wine shop. Many of them are made under kosher laws, and are shoved off into obscure sections with the Manishevitz, but they're great wines! I've tried a few, and found some great values and new favorites. Good luck!
