In honor of the original 13 states, I had an Australian Shiraz. But that was weird because who in the original 13 ever heard of Australia? So I opened a California Cab, but California was under Spanish rule at the time so that didn't really feel right either. However, it worked out with the carne asada that I was grilling, so I figured I'd be all multi-culti and diverse and call it a night.

In honor of the 13 original colonies I had 13 shots of Southern Comfort, 13 Budweisers and then accidentally burned down the neighbors barn with a Roman Candle.

Friday wasn't a holiday for me (Canadian), but I drank a Mollydooker "Two left feet" at my buddy Chester's with an awesome vegetarian dinner, then we went to three other places and I had a....I don't remember now.

In honor of Cristobol Colombo, I had a barbera with homemade pizza. Close to the current US national dish, anyway. That was after earlier having been at a friend's rooftop bbq and having drunk too much Sanmarinese spumante...
