Introduce Yourself

Snooth User: LTBiker
Hi I am new to Snooth!

Hey everybody!

I thought I would introduce myself since I am new to Snooth. I am a guy in my early twenties who is taking this wine thing to the next level. Currently I have been pursuing red wines. I like a Primitivo only if it has the right medieval finish. A good "porch-drinking red" would be medium bodied, full of berries, but has a memorable finish..... you know something to reminisce the good times with.

I haven't discovered too many whites, but just had a bad-ass Bordeaux sauvignon blanc. I can't remember where it was from, but it was amazing for a white.

Basically guys and gals, I am a young buck who is looking to learn; help me out.

I am looking forward to meeting some new vino friends...

Regards,

Tony D
(AKA LT-Biker)

What's up Tony, welcome aboard.

Well, the first thing I'd recommend if you like Primitivo is to grab yourself some of the better Red Zinfandels coming out of California. They're genetically related and being a fan of Italian wine myself, I find them to be very interesting and fun to drink when I'm not in the mood for Italy. Go for some of the Ridge Zins. Great stuff and not too over the top.

See you around.

Hey Tony! Great to have you on board. This is a great place to learn, find wines to experiment with and ask questions. Some great people here so I'm sure you'll learn lots.

Hi Tony and welcome to Snooth.

Zins would be a great place to star and so would...Petite Sirah. We'll be tasting a whole slew of them soon, in the mean time keep an eye our for our upcoming Tempranillo notes. Many are inexpensive and packed with dark berry fruits.

Hey Tony... welcome aboard... all the way from Australia...

I will recommend some Aussie wines to widen your experiences...

WHITE
* Leeuwin Estate Art Series Chardonnay but if your wallet can't get that far, get their second wine the Prelude Chardonnay... for what's worth any Margaret River Chardonnay woudl be good
* Aged Semillon (5+ yrs) from the Hunter Valley...
REDS
* Pinot Noir from the Mornington Peninsula or Tasmania
* Cabernet Sauvignon from Coonawarra or Margaret River

I am just giving you some general recommendations so you get into it !

Happy Tasting!
