Hello fellow wine lovers!
I am not a newbie when it comes to drinking wine as I have been enjoying it for years. At this point I am beginning to develop a better understanding of my preferences. In joining this forum I hope to cultivate a more refined palette to increase my enjoyment of wine and continue my education.
I am a life-long Virginian and sample the local offerings as often as possible.
I am "A Happy Tiro"

Welcome A HAPPY TIRO!
There is a lot going on here on Snooth and in the Forum!
Are you partial towards the wines of France? (Who is not??!!!) Smile!
Better put, which French wines do you absolutely adore?

Welcome to the Forum AHT. We look forward to hearing reports about Virginia wines. I have to say, I don't see many (make that any) Virginia wines on store shelves around here on the left coast. So, I suspect that I will have to learn vicariously from you.
We have had a Virginia contributor recently looking for some coaching. I believe he found a reasonably local wine store that was quite helpful, but maybe you can also turn him on to local wines.

Dennis Horton is an excellent winemaker in Virginia doing Viognier.
I have tasted HORTON TOWER SERIES Viognier.
Interesting flavour....orangy, spicy!
Those lovers of Zin would love the Norton which is rich plum and spicy!
Horton does fruit wines as well.

So, Amour, since I am a Zin lover, I should be looking for the Horton Norton?
Do they have multiple bottlings? If so, I would probably want to arrange them is some order. In which case I would be
(feel free to leave now if you want to avoid the groan)
sortin' Horton Nortons.
Somebody call Stephen Pastis.
I apologize, Amour.

EMARK, I did not get it!
HORTON TOWER SERIES NORTON from Horton Vineyards is really good!

The problem for me would be that virtually all the US wine sold on this side of the pond is from California so my chances of drinking Virginian wine unless I visited the States are fairly slim. However lots of French wine is available
