Hi. This is the 1st time I've ever joined a site to learn about something other than (1)Soviet era porcelain figurines & dishware; (2)a certain breed of dog;(3)vintage & new fountain pens & reviews on paper, journals, inks and such.
My brother has always loved wines & collected them for decades & drunk them, too. He is 10 years older than me & has always said that the wines I prefer are "sweet soda pop" wines. I've always preferred sweet dessert wines esp. from Spain & also Japanese plum wine. I just don't like dry wines as my brother & my mother-in-law prefer. Each to their own. I would love advice from other people who can help me find inexpensive wines of the type that I prefer, & no "desert" wines,LOL! Sincerely, OhioPackrat in S.W. rural Ohio

Quite an honest introduction! I could keep this short and sweet and say, "Trust your brother!"
I'm not sure I could win you over to the "dry" side. But as I always say, there's no right or wrong. If you know what you like and don't want to venture out of your comfort zone, that's okay. I'd prefer to recommend some side-tracks for you though!
