Hello Snooth!

hello all.  i am a amateur wine drinker.  i love a dry, green apple-ly chardonnay and dry reds.  love the more expensive mondavi's and south american reds.  any recommendations are welcome!

Welcome, CMAG.  I would agree that you certainly can't go wrong with Mondavi wines.  It's always difficult to make recommendations, because (1) "more expensive" is a pretty relative term and (2) it is not clear how much access you have to different producers in your geography.  Which ones, in particular, have you enjoyed?  If you're talking about Cabernet Sauvignon, I would point you to some other Napa Valley producers such as Keenan, or Turnbull.  Beringer is a Napa Valley producer, but their Knight's Valley Cabernet Sauvignon (both the standard and the "Reserve" bottlings) have been getting a lot of attention, lately.
