Hello Snooth!

Beginner to the world of wine. Enjoy reds and trying a few Rioja's. Thinking of buying a few more bottles based on the Tempranillo grape before I move to another region/grape variety. What's the best way to about wine - any advise?

Welcome to the Snooth Forum, RJH.  I don't thing there is any "best" way to expand your knowledge and appreciation of wines.  Similarly, I don't think there a "bad" way, either.  Move at your own pace and in you own direction.

That being said, I'm sure that others will jump on here and make suggestions--and every one of them will be valid.  Since people are going to do that, I'll be the first.  Lately, I have been trying Portuguese wines--both reds and whites.  The wines I have been trying lately, from the Dao, Douro and Alentejano regions, have been modestly priced, and of very good quality.

Enjoy your adventure RJH, and keep us posted on your discoveries
