Greetings, fellow wine lovers!
My girlfriend and I love our wine-tasting weekends and have enjoyed discovering new wine-pleasures throughout the Santa Clara Valley and central California. We hope to visit many of the AVAs of California as we are centrally located. We also enjoy Italian, Spanish and Argentine reds.
We hope to educate ourselves and expand our palates through you good people and to find pairings for our vegetarian meals here at Snooth.
Cheers, Salud, Cin-cin!

Welcome to the Snooth Forum, JM. We look forward to hearing about your wine adventures. I am particularly interested you your Santa Clara Valley findings.
I do not have any specific advice on wine pairings for vegetarian meals, but I am finding that the older I get, the more I am of the opinion that you should just drink whatever you like. In my mind there are a few pairings that are transcendent, but I can list them with the fingers on one hand. (Just my opinion. With that and a couple bucks, you can buy a cup of coffee.) We're having a game hen for dinner tonight. Mrs. EMark will probably finish off the bottle of Chardonnay that we opened, last night. I'm looking at a bottle of Alexander Valley Carignane that I picked up, yesterday.

Hi, EMark. Thanks for your welcome.
Actually, we do drink what we like and don't try to think too much about pairings. I did, however, enjoy the Snooth pairings page -- I was hungry soon after!
Here in the Santa Clara Valley, our go to wines come from Leal Vineyards (Hollister) -- Cab Franc, Carnaval Meritage, and Cab -- and Domenico Winery (San Carlos) -- Primitivo and Aglianico. We'll keep you posted about other tastings and purchases.
