I'm Gary Vrabel from Ithaca, NY in the heart of the Finderlakes Region and wine trails.
I've been making homemade wines for 7 years and usually make about 20 different varities from grapes found in this area. Many are Cornell hybrids. Cornell is in Ithaca many are grown in this area, along with the Vinifera's. My favorite, and everyone else that begs abottle, is Diamond. Glad to join you folks and continue sharing ideas. Gary

Maybe if I make it back for a re-union someday, I'll ask to try one of those bottles. Gotta say the early '80s in the Northeast weren't the ideal time for wine drinkers from California. If the '82s had been available at prices a student could afford before I graduated, then maybe. On the other hand, since the drinking age went up one year at a time right behind me, I at least could buy a drink legally the whole time I was there. Kept Yuengling and Prior Double Dark in business since I couldn't find any decent wine.

Hi Gary and welcome.
Sounds like a lot of work. What's your favorite grape to work with?
