Welcome aboard, Bobby. You will find participants here who share interest in the wines you favor. I assume, though, that you meant wines of "Spain." Be careful of that collecting bug, though. Most of us find that collecting sucks up all space in your house. ;-)

I almost got a sprain after opening a $38 bottle of corked pinot... Is that the same thing? LOL.. kidding.
Welcome... lots of reading to do. My best advice is to find a wine shop with a talented owner, who can guide you toward wines you may like based on your preferences. I have found that resource the most invaluable. Ratings and reviews online typically are useless for me. But discussing wine with like minded people can often point you in the right direction.

And don't start collecting. Don't be so random. Figure out what you like first - take a few years and then, if you really do like older wine, make sure you have a place to store it other than the hall closet and maybe then collect some.

LOL Napagirl! Welcome Bobby! And yeah, collecting wine sucks, don't do it! I hardly ever know what bottle to open! And if you like whites in summer, have you tried any roses? As a primarily red wine drinker I find many of them to be much better alternatives in summer than standard whites.
