Hello everyone. I have loved wine for as long as I can remember - earliest memory is 5 yrs old having a "tea party" with my grandpa and my Nan's homemade wine. Due to sensitivity I can only drink Light Reds and Whites. My favourite White is Pinot Gris but I do drink alot of Chardonnay. I recently travelled to Tasmania, Australia this past Christmas and fell in love with their Pinot Grigio. I also really liked the Margaret River Chardonnay's. For everyday I stick to Canadian, specifically, Okanagan area. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Laughing Stock Pinot Gris and See Ya Later Ranch Charonnay. Traveling to Niagara this July so hope to find some new favs!

Welcome, Cindy! I hope you enjoy the Snooth community. It can help you find other wines you might enjoy also. Explore this website and read the articles to learn more about wine. Again, welcome!

Cindy, let me also welcome you to Snooth. I find that I learn something here just about every day. I have to ask a question regarding the Pinot Gris you enenjoyed in Tasmania. Was that actually grown in Tasmania? I had no idea that Tasmania had any kind of wine industry. (See, I told you that I learned here every day.) I have an acquaintance from Tasmania. Maybe I'll ask him about it.
Also, please come back here and give us a report on your Niagara visit. Many of us will probably never get there. So, we have to experience it vicariously.

Emark - I just purchased a North Tasmanian PN - Josef Chromy - from a wine store in British Columbia...I was told that Tasmanian wine is quickly earning quite a good reputation.
