Introduce Yourself

Snooth User: jaywalia

Greetings from Malaysia :-)

Hello wine lovers, been following this site for awhile now but only today got myself registered. Im a wine lover from Malaysia(Anybody here from Kuala Lumpur?) Hope to learn and discuss ye great nectar of life with all of ya'll on Snooth! At the moment I've only got 2 bottles of Champagne in 'my cellar'(my wardrobe cupboard) a Yellow Label Veuve Cliquot and a Bruno Paillard Brut Premiere Cuvee. I have purchased and drunk(no pun intended) many bottles of wine within the last year so perhaps I'd contribute a review or two.

Welcom to Snooth, Jaywalia.  It's interesting that we seem to be getting increased participation from Malaysia.  We look forward to hearing about your wine adventures.  Feel free to ask questions.  You'll get very excellent responses.  Don't be too concerned if you get conflicting answers.  ;-) Sometimes two people have two different opinions, and, guess what, neither of them is wrong.

@EMark: Thanks so much, will keep what you said in mind. There isnt really a big wine community here in Malaysia. Doesnt help that its taxed real high but i get by with whatever scraps I save up. I will definetely share my wine experience with all the good folks here on Snooth.

@shsim: Khabar baik Encik Sim :-) Oh JB boy in the house hahaha, I'm a KLite. Wow Im sure the selection in the States is much more extensive than here in Malaysia?

@jaywalla, haha its more like JB girl in the house. Yes!! The selection is incredible here and you can get them locally too which is amazing! Back home, my parents just import at duty free which has very limited selection... So I bring back wines for them whenever I head back...

@ Jaywalia; Sorry about spelling your name wrong! Yea I actually dont know very well what is available in Malaysia... My dad is the one who does the importing. I never see much in stores so I just let him do his thing... standard yellowtail and blue nun.. Oh well.

More reviews and less babble can be refreshing.  But babble can refresh from time to time.  Enjoy!

Hello! South East Asia is seeing more vineyard development, the new latitude wine region.

Heard there's four in Thailand and one in Bali with eight more coming up.
