Got my case, now what?

Posted by Tbandcwfjourney, Nov 3, 2013.

Got my introductory 6 count case with my voucher.  All six wines are a 2012 vintage.

Da Da Da Lodi Chardonnay

F. Stephen Millier Angel's Reserve Viognier

Villebois Sauvignon Blanc Vin De France

Stephen Millier Lodi Shiraz

Dominic Hentall Puglia Sangiovese Negroamaro

The Butterfly Effect Reserve SE Australia Shiraz

do I enjoy any of them now, wait til summer, wait for a couple of years.  Thoughts, suggestion?

Nothing really complex here. They are built to be enjoyed now which is what you should probably do.

It's a little interesting to me that is a sponsor of the Snooth Concierge program and there is very little, almost no info about the wines they sent and not much conversation.  I guess that must be because they source from the smaller lesser known vineyards/producers.

How do you get a voucher?

I got mine before snooth started offering it with their concierge program from an in app offer.  The app is Hello Vino.  Don't really like the app all the info seems pretty old.

NakedWines was kind of an interesting idea, almost like Kickstarter for wine, in that your purchase was supposed to enable them to bottle these interesting wines.  I didn't like the loss of choice, but that's just me.  I'll be interested to hear if the wines are any good.  I wouldn't age them, but if they took a long journey, I would give them between three weeks and three months to recover.

Where do I tell the vintners if I liked or loved their wines?

Six count case?? I thought it was an actual case (12) count! I see they offer a starter case with the wine voucher, however, is one obligated to order more? Is this like a wine club?

Coni I got the 12 case...When you purchase it they tell you that you are on a "list" and when you get to the top you become an "angel" and then purchase other wines at discounted prices.   I got my wine and ask to be removed from the list...No problems....I had about 5 bottles so far and enjoyed them all.  A vary of taste

I too used a voucher and got the 6 count intro introductory offer.  The wines were good to very good in a couple of instances.  A bit pricey for the quality in some cases though.

Wow, RCKR, you may soon set the single day record for most dead-thread dumpster dives!  ;-)

It's my way of seeing these people are still around - I go back to other old sites to check on people also.

I was wondering why this was revived.

As a general rule, most people who you find in threads a few years old aren't here any more. The vast majority of people who ever posted were one-shot wonders. They'd do something like "Hello Snooth" and that was it. So I almost never open those threads.

Then there were a few who followed up on their own thread before disappearing.

There were a few who were like you - showed up, did a flurry of posts, stuck around for a few weeks or even a year or so and then simply vanished. Those are the most disappointing. At this point there are probably not more than a dozen or so who make up the forum. They are why I still come here - it's quiet but we've become friends.

GREGT - I was messing around, exploring the site a little more and I hit this and couple of others just for a test, I figured out that these won't directly link to email, but I wanted to find out if it would link to the originator - it didn't and others have told me of the mechanics.

No nefarious reason just checking things out.

As far the duck and run crowd goes - that's them, I'm me.  You that "make up the forum."  even the most unobservant can see are quite close.  There are times I feel that I'm intruding on that.  So if you can put with the occasional entry I'll probably hang around the edges gleaning information and learning - I tend to be loyal - once I'm in, I'm in.
