As an avid (and confirmed) beer drinker, I've come into the wine scene late. I would drink wine before, but I never really challenged my palate. Fortunately for me, I'm burning my GI Bill attending a culinary school, and thus, got to take a couple of wine classes. That's been it for me. I've jumped all over the map, and have encountered great wines from all over the world. Unfortunately, that also means that I've found some awful ones. Guess that's just the way it works. At least now there is another place where I can find information to further my experience.
Good Afternoon, Snooth!

Welcome! I like to think my favourite wines would have never been so enjoyable if I didn't have the not-so-great wines to serve as reference points
I can't understand people who profess to dislike all types of beer, for the record. Nothing beats beer for refreshment after work on a hot day. I suspect you'll be in good company with your enthusiasm for it. :)
