- Global Wine and Spirits (GWS) now on Snooth
The data from the newest member of Snooth's partnership network, Global Wine and Spirits, just went live. This event is very exciting because of the amount of very rich data that was just added to the database. This data comes direct from the wineries themselves, so includes pictures, detailed winemaker's notes, awards and other useful information. Having this level of detail on wines really helps users, from novice to the experienced, make informed purchasing decisions.

Excellent - is some of that data going to be sortable at some point? There is some real geeky info there... especially for the Sauternes.

Rodolphe - it will be searchable long before its going to be sortable. The aim was to get the information onto the site first. Some of the data would work well as distinct fields, but we'd need to get good coverage across most of the wines before it would be worth breaking out

Obviously its a mammoth task to table all the data... but being searchable is a good start.
