Hello all!
I found your wonderful site for wine and enthusiasts! I love wine, and have been trying to get some skill at picking things I like. After reading many posts, I find most people live in areas where a nice variety of wine is available. I on the other hand do not. I live in New Mexico in a small town on the eastern side, we are lucky to have people here that even know wine exists! So, my question is this. Is anyone familiar with any New Mexico wines that are of particular enjoyment? I have not sampled much of what the state has to offer. But, one of my favorites is from the Wines of San Juan here in New Mexico called Blue Winged Olive, kind of a sweeter wine. I mostly enjoy reds, and a good Merlot, but find that I have to either travel a long distance to get a "good" wine or buy it online. Also, any suggestions for a good online site to purchase wine?

Cheers!

Noddy

There's a wonderful sparkling wine producer in Albuquerque named Gruet - http://www.snooth.com/wines/gruet/1...

Hey Noddy,

there are great sources of wine around the country that will happily ship to you. Your best bets would probably the best retailers in California, though you are close to Denver so shipping cost should not kill you if you ordered from either state. Search around on Snooth and I'm sure you'll find the wines you are looking for.
