Friendfeed integration
Posted by jdot, Aug 14, 2008.

I wonder if there has been any discussion of integrating with FriendFeed (http://friendfeed.com) It's a great service for aggregating activity on various social networks all in one place. I just added the RSS feed of my reviews to my account, as you can see here: http://friendfeed.com/jdot but it does not display my rating or my review. I would imagine something like the Yelp integration (you can see an example a couple of entries below my "Dancing Coyote" review) would be great. A true integration would also be better for Snooth because it would use your branding.

I don't know how these integrations work, but I wouldn't be surprised if FriendFeed does most of the heavy lifting, as long as the info they need is available. If there is someplace on FriendFeed for users to request an integration from their end, I'd be happy to petition for it.

The RSS feed works for now, but I thought I'd just through this out there in case there are other FriendFeed users who would like the same thing, especially on your team.

Cool idea -- I browsed through the Friendfeed API page. I can definitely see us doing this but it might not be for a few weeks.

Thanks for the suggestion.

If there are other Friendfeed users definitely post here so we know you're waiting!

Friendfeed would have to add Snooth themselves for it to be integrated properly, you can read about it here:
http://friendfeed.com/about/faq#services

Or email them directly here:
feedback@friendfeed.com

I know a few users that have already emailed them, so please do so, and hopefully soon, they'll have enough and will take the time to add snooth directly.

Thanks

Thanks Philip, I thought that might be the case. I've sent them an email. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.
