A friend of mine is offering a FREE online wine course as part of her MW dissertation.
For those of you in NYC, there will even be a wine tasting at the end of the course for everyone who finishes the course and takes the survey by the end of April.
I think that wine lovers at all levels (yes even those with little to no knowledge of Bordeaux) will be able to get something out of the course.

The Red Wines of Bordeaux is organized into three units, each focusing on a different aspect of Bordeaux red wines. Each unit of the course should take a few hours to complete, and contains course materials and appropriate reference information to aid you in doing this.

Unit 1: The Appellation Côntrolée of Bordeaux.
Unit 2: The Grapes, Winemaking and the wines of Bordeaux.
Unit 3: The Châteaux of Bordeaux.

Each week ends with a 15 question self-check study quiz. These quizzes can be taken anytime, paused and resumed, and taken over and over as many times as desired.

Following this introduction are some general resources.
The mandatory course satisfaction survey can be found in Unit 4, along with a Final Crossword Challenge (the crossword puzzle is optional).

If you complete the course and the survey, you will be invited to a Grand Tasting! Once the survey has been completed, you will receive an e-mail with the details of the Grand Tasting. E-mails about the tasting will be sent in May, after the course is closed.
Time commitment to complete the course: approximately three weeks, if you spend 2-3 hours per week working on the course, even if you have very little knowledge about Bordeaux. This can be done over the course of one week or even one long day, for someone with more extensive knowledge of the subject.
