Something's gone haywire on the time stamp for the thread list on the forum pages. They say posts have been made for several threads in the past few hours when they haven't actually been made for days (as indicated inside the threads). Lots of false email notifications are being generated because of this....
Forum page topic list timestamps and internal post timestamps seriously out of synch

Sorry for the late response. Are you still noticing this issue? The email notifications are generated once per recipient when a new post is made onto a thread. Please let me know the details (which posts, specific wrong dates) if you see this kind of thing happen again.

That was a while ago. And went away within a day or so of my posting. I've noticed this phenomenon three or four times over the past 18 months. Not common, but not unique, either.
Understood about the emails in general, but when that time error occurred new emails were generated.
