What kind o feedback were you looking for?
Here's a brief rundown.
G. Voerzio Serrapiu Langhe Rosso, 98 - Very modern, big, anonymous
Paitin Pasquero Langhe Rosso, 01 - Very solid enlightened style
Sandrone Pe Mol Langhe, 01 - Very solid if a touch slick modern style
A&G Natale Fantino Nebbiolo, 04 - Very solid enlightened style
Paitin Pasquero Elia Nebbiolo ca veja, 04 - Very solid enlightened style
Sottimano Langhe Nebbiolo, 05 - Eh
Giacosa Fratelli Nebbiolo, 05 - Eh
Boroli Langhe Rosso Anna, 05 - Eh
Boeri Monferrato Rosso, 02 - I don't know
As far as the vintages go'
1998 was warm, wines are maturing quickly, were never great but good in a warm idiom
2001 - Excellent balanced vintage
2002 - A touch vintage of light, high acid, very red fruited wines, a bit tough
2004 a very pretty and elegant vintage
2005 a bit tough around the edges but with great balance and structure

Hi Greg and thanks for your quick and helpful reply.
Is the Voerzio 98 Past it's peak($11.70 per bottle)?
How about Ca' Bianca Barbera, 03?(12.39 per)
Beppe Marino Langhe Rosso,03?(11.70per)
Cantina Santadi Carignano Grotta Rossa, 05(11.70per)
Antonelli, San Marco Montefalco Rosso, 04(31.32 per)
Ca' Bianca Barbera Ante, 05(16.47per)
Cavalotto Langhe Nebbiolo Bricco Boschis, 05(20 per)
Drink mostly(97%) Italian reds with an unrelenting fondness for Nebbiolos but can't really afford most Barolos, Barbarescos etc..
Have had several wonderful, informative conversations with you at both incarnations of Astor.
Thanks again,
Anthony Pisani

I would pass on the G Voerzio, possibly past peak since it's really a wine built for immediate impresiveness.
03 is a great Barbera vintage
I'm not familiar with Beppe Marino
the grotta rossa is a tough little wine, one that should develop well in the cellar but it's not friendly or "fruit forward"
Antonelli on the other hand makes Montelfalco that is relatively friendly and fruit forward i like this producer but the price seems a bit high to me.
05 another excellent Barbera vintage
Cavallotto did well with their Nebbiolo in 05, the Barolo on the other hand was a bit chunkier than I would have preferred when I tried it.
Where do you live?
I might be able to give more specific advice.

Hi Greg,
I'm on 96th near Columbus.
My apologies but the Antonelli price($31.32) I quoted was for their 03 Sagrantino. The 04 Montefalco Rosso is $21.32,
Last ones when you get a chance before I make a final decision.
G. Mascsrello Langhe Vigna Di Proprieta, 03($18.63)
Cocci Grifoni Rosso Piceno Messieri, 03, (19.93/6 case)
Umani Ronchi Rosso Conero, 02(11.70)
Umani Ronchi Jori Montepulciano d' Abruzzo, 05(14.39/6 case)
Caven Terraze Retichio Di Sandrio Nebbiolo, 05(17.85/6 case)
Thanks once again,
Tony

We're neighbors then, 85th and Amsterdam!
To finish your list
If it's G mascarello, very good wine
Cocci a very solid Rosso Piceno
Umani Ronchi makes nice, clean modern wines
Caven terraze i am not familiar with but Valtellina Nebbiolo can be great and 05 is a vintage worth trying!

Hi Greg,
I was on 87th & Amsterdam before moving up here in '96.
Have you had any dealings with corporatewines.com out of Woburn, MA?
I'm very impressed with this new venture(snooth) you're involved with.
Best,
Tony

Flyingsocks - I have a suggestion that the other Greg won't give you.
Get something good! I.e, get something Spanish.

Corporate wines only tried to buy the wines once you place an order. They have unbeatable prices but work off a wholesaler list that is only updated quarterly so things are frequently no longer available. Having said that most of the wines on your lists should be available.
Greg T is just being a troublemaker. While there are tons of great, and exceptionally inexpensive, Spanish wines in the marketplace, Italian wine rule!

There's this little country situated just between Spain and Italy... produces some enjoyable wines.
