finally done

Posted by mousking1, Jan 30, 2010.

long story short, i needed something to take the place of a 12" x 11.5" x 54" section of dropped ceiling above a kitchen cabinet, so last weekend i started work on the only logical thing to take up the space, a custom fit wine rack. after a little bit of a learning curve and a lot bit of perfectionism it is finally done, tool marks hidden, seams smoothed, and no paint drips to be seen. now i have a 24 bottle wine rack perfectly fit above my cabinets, but hung from the ceiling to avoid vibrations from my head head smacking into the corner of an open door. i am now taking orders from anyone wanting a custom fit, you tell me the dimensions and style, i'll tell you the price.

i say this half in jest, i'm not really looking to build any for people right now, but i wouldn't say no either.

Do you have any photos on Flickr or Picasa? Would love to see it.

I've been a bit busy of late, but if I can find something suitably flattering, I will eventually post a picture - or something a bit more informative than a 19th century clothes iron. The reason for not posting is more inertia, if you will...

Perhaps the photo query was about the ceiling rack? ;-)
